A New Name, A Renewed Mission: Welcome to Iyali Hope

After 18 years of protecting vulnerable children across Plateau State, Kingdom Kids Klub (K3) has officially relaunched as Iyali Hope Community Centre (IHCC) — a name that embodies our deepened commitment to family strengthening and community-based child protection.

Why Iyali?

“Iyali” means family in Hausa, (one of Nigeria’s most widely spoken languages). This name reflects the heart of our mission: ensuring every vulnerable child grows up in a safe, loving family and not in an institution.

Since our founding in 2007, we have journeyed from operating a residential care home (Destiny Home, 2011) to becoming champions of family-based care reform. In 2014, we began the strategic transition away from institutional care toward family reunification, kinship care, and community alternatives. By 2022, this transformation was complete.

What’s Changing — and What’s Not

Our new name signals a renewed focus on:

  • Family strengthening and reunification — keeping families together through economic empowerment, parenting support, and case management
  • Community-based protection systems — building local capacity to protect children without removing them from their communities
  • Strategic partnerships — collaborating with government, civil society, and communities to create lasting systemic change

What remains unchanged is our unwavering commitment to child protection, our faith-rooted values (Psalm 68:6: “God sets the lonely in families”), and our team’s passion for seeing every child thrive.

Looking Ahead

As Iyali Hope Community Centre, we are positioned to scale our impact across Nigeria. With proven models like the Moving Towards Family Solutions (MTFS) project, which transitioned 18+ children to family care and trained 44+ caregivers in 2025, we are ready to lead the next chapter of child welfare reform in Nigeria.

From Kingdom Kids Klub to Iyali Hope: same heart, stronger mission, greater impact.
